How to Help
At the Canadian Hidradenitis Suppurativa Foundation, there are numerous ways you can make a difference in the lives of those affected by hidradenitis suppurativa. Whether you have time to volunteer or resources to donate, your support is invaluable to us.
Here are some of the ways you can help.
Volunteering
The CHSF is recruiting multiple learners to fill exciting new roles! These opportunities offer flexible time commitments, allowing you to get involved as much or as little as you like. They can be used for research blocks/requirements and provide opportunities to fund travel for attending conferences, as well as great additions to your resume.
Current HS Research and Leadership Opportunities:

- HS Research Guideline Development: Work with Canadian HS experts to develop an online tool for up-to-date HS management guidelines.
Social Media Ambassador Details:
We are seeking multiple residents to commit to one or more blog and/or social media posts during the academic year. The CHSF requires a combined total of 4 blog posts per year and up to 12 posts per year on social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). These can be done whenever convenient for you or during dedicated research time. We have materials already developed that you can use, or you can get creative.
If you are interested in attending the SHSA conference, we would also appreciate a post summarizing interesting sessions. We can also meet at those conferences to create additional content, review materials, and get together (FYI – leadership roles like this increase your chances of securing travel funding!). We welcome any other ideas for posts as well!
